Dr. Stephanie Papadopoulos, PhD
About
Stephanie is a warm, empathic, and welcoming therapist who specialises in helping people with chronic pain and other mind-body health issues. She is deeply committed to providing a safe space for individuals to explore the connection between their emotional world and physical symptoms. Her approach is grounded in mind-body intelligence and trauma-informed care, recognising that persistent pain is often a signal, not just a symptom. Stephanie helps clients understand how unresolved emotions and nervous system stress may be contributing to their physical experience of pain.
Her experience spans community settings—including Headspace, Berry Street, and Merri Community Health—as well as private hospital and outpatient rehabilitation environments. This has given her extensive exposure to individuals across the age spectrum and with a range of physical and mental health concerns. She is also skilled in delivering evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness practices.
