Dr Jessica Simons, DPsych (Clinical)
About
Jessica is a warm, compassionate, and client-centred Clinical Psychologist who specialises in supporting people living with chronic pain, long-term health challenges, and mind–body conditions. She brings more than 15 years of experience across private practice, government, university, and community settings, providing a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported.
Jessica has a deep interest in the intersection of emotional wellbeing, lifestyle factors, and physical symptoms. She works with individuals experiencing chronic pain, psychosomatic presentations, fatigue, stress-related conditions, anxiety, depression, and behavioural or lifestyle concerns that can impact health and quality of life. Her approach is holistic in the truest sense — integrating psychological, lifestyle, and nervous system-based strategies to help clients reduce pain or distress, build emotional resilience, and restore a sense of agency and hope.
Her therapeutic style is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. Jessica draws on Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based interventions, and behavioural approaches. Where relevant, she also incorporates nutritional and lifestyle considerations to support whole-person wellbeing.
In addition to her clinical work, Jessica is an AHPRA-registered Clinical Psychologist and an AHPRA Board-approved supervisor for provisional and clinical-registrar psychologists. She is committed to supporting both clients and emerging clinicians with care, clarity, and a strong foundation in science-based practice.
