I'm not great at writing reviews but MGD deserves more than five stars. The information given in the app is by far the most informative I have received in my years worth of researching for answers and solutions. My support coach was just what I needed while I guided through the online course and information.

12 weeks later I am pleased to say that I have come a long way. I have an improved understanding of pain and the neuroscience around pain. I have started volunteering. I am back walking, I am regularly meditating. I am socializing with my friends, planning an overseas holiday, and have just started Pilates. I feel very positive about my future.

MoreGoodDays has been the best thing to happen to my pain levels. It's a great program which acknowledges your pain rather than deny your lived experience (a breath of fresh air!). Not only that, but I feel like I can listen to my body and give it what it needs, rather than resent it, which is something I have never been taught how to do.

With MoreGoodDays, learning precisely what the condition is, was very helpful. There is so much misinformation about the condition out there; I just found it overwhelming. Learning that the pain does not actually mean there is damage within my body; it's a warning sign was a revelation! I am now back on my kayak and back on my mountain bike!

I had read and researched pain ever since being diagnosed but had never before heard the term nociplastic pain and when this is explained, it really helps you understand what type of therapies could assist with FMG. I am feeling a lot more positive and know that I can ask for help if I feel like I could do with some.

The most positive component of the course was assigned a coach to assist me navigate my way. My coach was outstanding because she understood how I was feeling, having had fibromyalgia herself but it was more than just that. She was knowledgeable and gave me direction when I needed it. She was encouraging and gave me hope. Her contribution to my progress was enormous.

Built on a proven approach

Many of the approaches to treating fibromyalgia you might have tried focus on masking pain rather than addressing its root cause. MoreGoodDays® is different. We take a whole-person approach, targeting the underlying factors that contribute to your persistent pain.

By retraining your brain's response to pain signals and promoting a calmer, less reactive state, our program helps you break the cycle of chronic pain. By addressing the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of fibromyalgia, MoreGoodDays® empowers you to live your best life, the way you want to live it.

Expert answered FAQs

Answered by Dr Dan Harvie, PhD
Physiotherapist, Pain Scientist, & Educator
How much does it cost to see a pain psychologist? Are rebates available?

A 50 minute session with a pain psychologist costs $198. Medicare rebates are available with a valid mental health treatment plan. We can also provide invoices for claims through private health or NDIS

Who are your Pain Psychologists and how do the sessions work?

Our Pain Psychologists are registered and clinical psychologists who have a special interest in working with people who live with ongoing pain, as well as associated mood disorders. Sessions with a Pain Psychologist are booked in advanced and conducted over video call. They can give you tailored care and work with you through any issues that may be causing you distress and adding to your pain experience.

Can I try the psychologist out once before committing to ongoing sessions?

Absolutely! We know how important it is to have a rapport with a psychologist. There is no obligation to book in for multiple sessions. Have your first session and then decide if it's a good fit.

Can your psychologists also treat other mental health conditions I am experiencing?

Our psychologists are experienced at supporting individuals with all their mental health conditions including trauma, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders.
